No additional services shall be performed until the Contractor receives written authorization from Clay County. Home rehabilitation project includes the following items: Carpentry Replace rotten wood on front porch decking. Install a railing at the back door steps for code compliance. Replace rotten subflooring in the utility area bath. Install sheet vinyl flooring and primed base boards in both replacements in the utility bath and main bathrooms. Electrical Smoke alarm installed to current code in three (3) bedrooms within ten (10) feet outside bedroom doors (communicating/linked 10-year battery minimum or new hard-wired replacements). Add GFCI outlet protection as needed, per code. Replace in-use bubble covers on exterior outlets. Plumbing Replace water pump. Install new shower plumbing drains and controls as needed. ADA Remove existing bathtub in the main bathroom and install ADA compliant shower with grab bars. Sub-Flooring Replace six foot (6') by eleven foot (11') main bathroom floor by removing flooring, block edges, and replace flooring 23/32 sanded plywood to prep for sheet vinyl. Replace joists in the main bathroom flooring, as needed. Replace missing ceiling in utility room (over air handler) as this is a fire hazard violation. The County reserves the right to make an award either in part or completely, and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the County; providing best value to the County with price, technical, and other applicable factors considered. Final Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the contract.
