Clay County is requesting quotes from qualified contractors to provide housing rehabilitation services at the following location: 169 Ursa Street Orange Park, FL 32073. If any additional services are requested from the homeowner, the Contractor will be required to notify the County Project Manager or designee. No additional services shall be performed until the Contractor receives written authorization from Clay County. Home rehabilitation project includes the following items: A. Carpentry 1. Replace back door. 2. Replace front center bedroom window hat is non-functioning. B. Plumbing 1. Replace the toilets in the master bathroom and guest bathrooms. 2.Replace faucets in the shower. 3. Replace the hot water heater. C. Electrical 1.Smoke alarm installed to current code in three (3) bedrooms within ten (10) feet outside bedroom doors (communicating/linked 10-year battery minimum or new hard-wired replacements). 2.Replace all GFCI outlets in home as necessary per code, and install new GFCI outlets in master and guests bathrooms. 3.Replace in-use bubble covers on exterior outlets. D. Appliances 1.Remove and replace the stove and oven. The new stove and oven must be a smaller apartment style to fit in the existing space. E. HVAC 1.Remove and replace the 2.5 ton HVAC unit along with ductwork. The County reserves the right to make an award either in part or completely, and/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the County; providing best value to the County with price, technical, and other applicable factors considered. Final Completion shall be obtained within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall be assessed Liquidated Damages (LD) of $100.00 for each day past final completion date set by the contract.
