Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Huntington, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Work of this Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of storm water management improvements as indicated on Drawings, including the following: o Inspection and remedial cleaning of existing combined sanitary and storm structures and piping. o Installation of new combined sanitary and storm drain structures and piping. o Selective demolition of concrete floors, site paving, and earthwork excavation trenching as shown on the Drawings for replacement of existing and installation of new drainage components. o Remedial follow-up re-construction of areas related to storm water improvements. Marshall University, on behalf of The Governing Board, invites sealed Bids to provide all Work, including but not limited to Labor, material, equipment, supplies, and transportation for: SHOCK & AWE STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS PHASE I MARSHALL UNIVERSITY HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA. Document note : A $100.00 deposit is required for each set. Bidders are limited to two (2) sets each. Deposits will be refunded to Bidders who submit a bona fide Bid and return the Bidding Documents, in good condition, to the Architect within ten (10) days following the Bid opening. Bidders and material suppliers may procure additional sets of Bidding Documents at actual cost. Only complete sets will be issued. A pre-bid meeting will not be held prior to bid opening. A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid meeting. Unit prices shall prevail in cases of a discrepancy in the Vendor's bid. The University may accept or reject any bid in whole, or in part in accordance with Marshall University Board of Governors Policy No. FA-9 Purchasing Policy. The Contract becomes effective upon Vendor's receipt of the notice to proceed and must have Substantial Completion by October 30, 2025 and Final Completion by November 30, 2025 . (Construction Only): Pursuant to the requirements contained in W. Va. Code 5-22- 1(c), All Vendors submitting a bid on a construction project shall furnish a valid bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid protecting the State of West Virginia. The bid bond must be submitted with the bid. The apparent successful Vendor shall provide a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract. The performance bond must be received by the Marshall University Office of Purchasing Office prior to Contract award. The apparent successful Vendor shall provide a Labor/material payment bond in the amount of 100% o of he Contract value. The Labor/material payment bond must be received by the Marshall University Office of Purchasing Office prior to Contract award. In addition to anything required under the Section entitled Licensing, of the General Terms and Conditions, the Vendor shall furnish proof of the following licenses, certifications, and/or permits prior to Contract award, in a form acceptable to the University. The successful Vendor shall provide a two (2) year maintenance bond covering the roofing system. The maintenance bond must be issued and received by the Marshall University Office of Purchasing Office prior to Contract award. Please include W-9, COI, Contractor's License, Purchasing Affidavit, Drug Free Workplace, Criteria for Selection of Lowest Qualified Bidder, Bid Bond, Subcontractor List, with your bid. This clause shall in no way be considered exclusive and shall not limit the University's right to pursue any other available remedy. Vendor shall pay liquidated damages in the amount specified below or as described in the specifications. Liquidated Damages Contained in the Specifications. : Any language limiting the Vendor's liability for direct damages is deleted. Marshall University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bid amounts for Alternates, in whole or in part, and in any order. Such acceptance may affect lowest responsible and responsive bid chosen by Marshall University
