GHPRD Playground Equipment - The City of Huntington, on behalf of the Greater Huntington Parks & Recreations District, is seeking proposals from manufacturers to provide playground equipment for the GHPRD Altizer Park. The City of Huntington, on behalf of the Greater Huntington Parks & Recreation District, is seeking proposals from manufacturers of playground equipment for the design of, and to provide the equipment for, a new playground to be located in the Altizer Park in Huntington WV. The targeted age range for the equipment's use shall be 5-12 year olds. Each design and cost must be separate from each other so that the GHPRD can distinguish between the 2. One proposal should be for standard playground equipment and the other for exercise type playground equipment. The GHPRD shall install the equipment and provide all manufactured wood fiber for the project. An aerial view of the area is provided as an attachment below. The GHPRD is solely responsible for this project (financially), the City of Huntington is only assisting with the issuance of the bid. Selection of a proposal shall be based on the following with a total of 100 points possible: 1. Overall design (60 points) 2. References for prior projects of a similar nature (15 points) 3. Pricing (25 points) Requirements: Equipment needs to meet all ASTM Guidelines as this will be a material only quote..
