Renovation of a parking garage in Little Silver, New Jersey. Working plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.

Work shall consist of Work shall consist of raising the roof for a 25' x 30' detached garage, remove and reinstall the existing garage doors and openers with a new rail system, remove and repour a new concrete floor, install a new 8" CMU bond beam around the top of the existing wall, install a new header and steel column, together with miscellaneous other related work items. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Little Silver, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Little Silver, bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. The Contract shall be awarded, or all bids rejected, within sixty days from the receipt of bids or within such extensions of time as per-mitted by law. The Mayor and Council reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality of any bid. The work included in these projects consists offurnishing all labor, material, services and equipment required to do all work as shown on the drawings entitled "Raising Garage Roof-21 Tabor Street in the Borough ofLittle Silver, Monmouth County, New Jersey" and last dated March 7, 2025, and as herein described and specified, including but not limited to the following: The Contractor shall cooperate fully with other Contractors and utility owners which may enter the project area. The Contractor shall be responsible for formally notifying owner ofthe starting date and location ofhis work. He shall conduct any exploratory work as shall be necessary to accurately locate such utilities and shall otherwise exercise every caution and effort to avoid damage to the utilities. The Contractor shall be responsible for any damage he may cause and shall repair the same at his expense, to the specifications of the Owner and to the satisfaction ofthe Engineer. o Remove existing slab and apron area o Lift roofof existing garage o Remove and reinstall garage door and openers o Provide new rails for garage doors o Disconnect and re-connect all electric services attached to roof rafters o Install new bond beam on existing masonry boardwalks o Install new column and beam across garage o New lentils and beams across window openings o Install new 3 ' wide across the front ofthe garage to the same specification as thew new floor in the garage o Flash, seal and caulk the new connection area between the wall and roof structure. o Restoration o Other miscellaneous related work. Bids rejected. Tender has been cancelled. When the project will be re-tendered is undetermined at this time.
