The project is expected to be awarded on June 10th, 2025** The Port of San Francisco (the "Port") announces an Invitation for Bids ("IFB") for construction on in San Francisco, CA. The work will consist of a base scope of work to demolish the landside buildings and structures at the Pier 90 site (except the grain silo structures), abandon underground utilities in place and perform hazardous materials abatement as needed. Additive bid alternates include: (1) Steel loading tower demolition, (2) Wharf deck and piles demolition, and (3) Fence work. Bidders are further advised that they may not discriminate in the selection of subcontractors on the basis of race, gender, or any other basis prohibited by law, and that they shall undertake all required good faith steps in such a manner as to ensure that neither MBEs nor WBEs nor OBEs are unfairly or arbitrarily excluded from the required good faith efforts. In addition, the Port of San Francisco seeks to promote diversity within its contracting opportunities. Thus, the Port of San Francisco strongly encourages bids from Bidders that optimize the use of S.F. Small and Micro-LBE certified subcontracting firms.
