Removals The existing fueling system, including (2) USTs) and piping shall be removed and discarded under the guidance of the environmental consultant and in accordance with the NYS DEC and EPA requirements. The Fueling Contractor shall: 1. Notify the Town and NYS DEC of the removal schedule. 2. Notify CALL 811 for utility mark out and provide work area mark out. 3. Coordinate with the Town for reducing tank volume and provide vac truck and related equipment to remove the remaining product from tanks and piping and clean tank interiors. 4. Remove and dispose of (2) 4,000-gallon and 6,000-gallon USTs and all piping along with existing pumps, fuel management system, canopy, and island. 5. Apply for a Town Building Permit (permit fee waived) with the Town Building Department. Fuel Storage and Dispensing The new fueling system will include one double-walled FRP, 2-Compartment Fuel Underground Storage Tank. Fuel Spill Prevention and Leak Monitoring The new storage tank will include fuel spill containment equipment at each tank fill port for spill prevention during tank refueling. The fueling system will be electronically and continuously monitored for fuel leaks at the tanks, piping, and dispensers, and for tank volume, fuel usage, and fuel inventory tracking. The monitoring system will consist of tank probes, sump sensors, and alarms wired to a fuel monitoring console inside the main building
