Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Clifton Park, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The Project includes the following Work: All work necessary for construction of a wood framed pavilion supported by concrete foundations in accordance with plans and specifications. Construction will be adjacent to the existing masonry maintenance building at Clifton Common Blvd in Clifton Park, NY. Lump Sum Bids are requested for the following Contract: Miss Shen 'Deanna Rivers' Softball Training Pavilion General Construction Work shall be substantially completed on or before July 25, 2025, and ready for final payment by September 26, 2025. Deadline for questions is 5:00PM on April 18, 2025. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Funding Agency Requirements 1. The recipient of State funds represents that its equal employment opportunity policy statement incorporates, at a minimum, the policies and practices set forth below: a. Grantee shall (i) not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability or marital status, (ii) undertake or continue existing programs of affirmative action to ensure that Minority Group Members and women are afforded equal employment opportunities, and (iii) make and document its conscientious and active efforts to employ and utilize M/WBEs, Minority Group Members and women in its workforce on contracts. Such action shall be taken with reference to, but not limited to, solicitations or advertisements for employment, recruitment, job assignment, promotion, upgrading, demotion, transfer, layoff or termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training or retraining, including apprenticeship and onthe-job training. b. At the request of the Affirmative Action Officer (AAO), the Grantee shall request each employment agency, labor union, or authorized representative of workers with whom it has a collective bargaining or other agreement or understanding, to furnish a written statement that such employment agency, labor union, or representative does not unlawfully discriminate, and that such union or representative will affirmatively cooperate in the implementation of the Grantee's obligations herein. 2. The Grantee is encouraged to include minorities and women in any job opportunities created by the Project; and to solicit and utilize M/WBE firms for any contractual opportunities generated in connection with the Project. 3. Grantee represent and warrant that, for the duration of the Agreement, it shall furnish all information and reports required by the AAO and shall permit access to its books and records by DASNY, or its designee, for the purpose of ascertaining compliance with provisions hereof. Prevailing Wages The Bidders must comply with New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule. Bonds Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidders will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements for ensuring that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Owner, reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation. The Owner is an exempt organization under the Tax Law and is exempt from payment of Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Owner prior to incorporation into the project, pursuant to the provisions of the Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the bid.
