Work is generally described as Renovations will be undertaken on the 4th floor of the MCC Health Sciences Institute to create an office suite for the MCC Online Campus. This renovation involves an interior build-out of approximately 9,000 square feet, which includes both shell space and an existing office suite. The new layout will feature metal-stud and gypsum board partition walls to create offices and conference rooms. Finishing touches will include an interior aluminum storefront, wood doors, carpeting, acoustical ceilings, and fresh paint. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work will encompass the installation of HVAC fan coil units, piping, and ductwork. New lighting, electrical systems, fire alarms, and communications infrastructure will be installed to support the updated layout. Additionally, sprinkler piping will need to be raised and reconfigured to fit the new design. We use Automated Logic for controls (CSC), Siemens disego for fire alarms and sprinklers. We have Kellar Fire under contract for MCC but in no way does a GC need to use them for install. Dumpster permit is determined by the city based upon standards for length of time and width pertaining to road blockage. On a different project there was not need for permitting since it was not a road blockage. Working hours are can be established as needed. The building opens at 7:00am and closes at 10:00pm. However, MCC is able request and earlier open time if needed. Depending on days of core drilling can be worked around to be completed during normal hours. However if this can not be worked around class schedules then it would be preferred to be done classes start or after classes end. The overall bidding does not end until 10:00am on April 9th.
