Project Overview: The CFI Collective encompasses four distinct research laboratory projects consolidated into a single program within the STEM Building at the University of Ottawa. The four projects include: 5th Floor: CFI Jabbour-375 m2 CFI Shirani 64 m2 (with adjacent vacant space requiring upgrades based on consultant review) 6th Floor: CFI Sanchez-40 m2 CFI Lessard-108 m2 These projects vary in complexity and will require performance-based solutions that align with the stringent technical and operational requirements for advanced research environments. They also include a common corridor that connects the spaces and provides access and egress. Project Objectives: The primary objective of this program is to deliver high-performance laboratory spaces that support cutting-edge research. The selected proponent will be responsible for providing innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions that meet the specified requirements within the defined timeline and budget. The delivery method will be a Design-Build approach with a fixed-price contract. Description of the Project(s): The Successful Proponent will be engaged in various stages of the four (4) projects, from concept design throughout to construction and close out phases. Tender documents will be completed during the engagement of the Construction Manager. The Project includes but is not limited to, the following scope of Work, as defined in the Standard Construction Document, CCDC 5B-2010, Construction Management Contract - for Services and Construction, and the Successful Proponent will be responsible for: -Removal and demolishing of walls, -Building a temporary wall to accommodate swing space Question Deadline 04/07/2025 at 3:00 PM ET Deadline for Submitting Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
