The WMBE utilization goal is 4% for this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder certifies they will comply with all local, state, federal, and other laws, rules, regulations, and other requirements applicable to its operations relating to environmental responsibility, worker safety, labor, anti-discrimination and anti-human trafficking. The Bidder/Proposer is also acknowledging that it will adhere to the Values and Standards of the Port of Seattle. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security, cashier's check, money order, or surety bid bond, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid including Alternates, if any. A bid bond shall not be conditioned in any way to modify the minimum five percent (5%) required. Surety companies executing Bid Bonds must appear on the U.S. Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Washington. In addition, the surety must be rated "A-, FSC (VI)", or higher by A.M. Best Rating Guide. Checks shall be payable to the Port of Seattle. Prior to the execution of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish Insurance Certificates, Performance Bond and a Payment Bond covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising there under.
