1 The purpose of the Commissioning process is to provide the Owner of the facility with the assurance that the building systems have been installed according to the Contract Documents and will operate within the performance guidelines set out in the Design Intent and the Specifications. The commissioning process includes specific tasks to be conducted during each phase in order to verify that design, construction, and training meets the Owner's Project requirements. 2 All Contractors and related Subcontractors shall be responsible for cooperating and coordinating their Work with the commissioning team. The Contractors shall be responsible for carrying out all the activities required for the initial installation of components and systems, and for operating the systems as required during the commissioning process. 3 The Commissioning process does not reduce the responsibility of the installing Contractors to provide a fully functional finished Product in accordance with the Contract Documents. A Performance Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of a Surety in Manitoba, in the Form Attached to the Tender Documents, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%); of the Contract Price; and A Labour and Materials Payment Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of Surety in Manitoba, in the Form Attached to the Tender Documents, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price.
