Site work for a fire / police facility in Conway, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Town of Conway is seeking quotes from qualified firms for the pouring of concrete in the public safety building at 15 Ashfield Road. The Objective is to complete a concrete slab floor for the entire 50’ x 75’ (3750 sq.ft.) masonry block building. There is a recently poured 15’ x 18’ ( 270 ft.² ) slab in the southeast corner of the building which is to remain. Its surface is to be flush with the new slab. The base for the slab will consist of 2 inch Pre-formed PEX foam board insulation with knobs for holding PEX radient heating tubing in place. This will be placed by the Owner. 2 inch thick EPS will be placed against the east, south, and west walls of the building by the Owner. The slab is to be poured against this foam. The north wall of the building consists of five overhead doors which are 10 feet high. At the door openings, the slab is to pass over the existing below grade foundation wall, and against forms supplied by the Contractor. The forms are to be placed so that the outside vertical edge of the slab is flush with the outside of the building wall. The finished slab will comprise three separate pours to allow for the Owner to prepare the several sections of the building. This work will be separated by weeks. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
