Gotham Pioneer Park Sports Facility Sports Court Surfacing & Striping The City of Chetek will be accepting bid proposals for Sports Court Surfacing & Striping at Gotham Pioneer Park Sports Facility in the City of Chetek The Sports Facility includes six (6) pickleball courts, a multi-purpose tennis court with two (2) youth basketball courts . Qualification and Experience of the Bidder: The City reserves the right to request each bidder to present evidence that they have worked on similar projects. No bids will be considered from bidders who do not provide this information. Bidders must also provide a list of at least 3 references of similar projects they have completed Delivery: Project must be completed mid summer 2025. Exact dates will be determined at time of the contract being awarded. Specifications for Sports Court Surfacing & Striping for City of Chetek Gotham Pioneer Park Sports Facility: -Pickleball Courts - Dark blue courts with light blue kitchen area with white lines and green out of bounds area. Tennis / Basketball Courts - Tennis court Dark Blue with white lines and a green out- of- bounds area. Basketball courts overlap the green OB areas and the tennis court - lines to be lighter blue. Weather: surfacing and painting shall be performed only when the surface is dry, and when the temperature is at or above the manufacturer's acceptable specifications, and when the weather is not foggy or extremely windy Surface preparation: immediately before the application of the acrylic surfacing material, the surface shall be pressure washed, dried, free from dirt and other foreign materials. Surface application: prior to application of the acrylic surface material, the entire surface shall be flooded and checked for minor depressions and irregularities. Any depressions that hold more than a nickels' thickness of water shall be corrected by filling the court patch binder with high strength acrylic latex bonding liquid. Any irregularities such as small cracks due to shrinkage shall be addressed prior to the application of finish coats. Acrylic surfacer shall contain only high grade, rounded silica sand, 40-70 mesh, at a rate of 12-16 lbs per gallon concentrate. Acrylic surfacer shall be applied by industry standard rubber bladed squeegee. A second coat shall be added in order to provide a uniform surface texture and applied 90 degrees to the previous coat. Two coats of sand-filled acrylic color concentrate shall be applied over the entire surface area. Once coat shall be a texture coat and the second coat as a finish coat following the manufacturer's directions and application rates. Layout of markings: shall be applied in accordance with the Sports Facility diagram provided and conform to USPA specifications. Resurfacer, color coats, and line paint shall be provided from the same manufacturer. The edges of the marking shall not vary from a straight line more than one-half inch in fifty feet, and the dimensions shall be within a tolerance of plus or minus 5%. The City of Chetek reserves the right to reject any and all bids, without cause, and accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City of Chetek.
