This project consists of making modifications to complete a phased replacement of AHU4 and AHU5 in Kildee Hall. The work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, demolition of existing systems and components indicated to be removed, relocate ductwork and piping to accommodate new AHU, providing new electrical feeds to new AHU and existing equipment, adding a new dedicated outdoor AHU4K to serve the east laboratory area, along with associated ductwork and piping, providing new controls for added mechanical equipment, and electrical equipment installation, etc. Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed to the Design Professional. Substantial Completion: July 26, 2027 Final Completion: September 24, 2027 Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa.
