No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening. Bids may be corrected for clerical or typographical errors at the discretion of the Canton Park DISTRICT, but not because of an error in judgment. The Bid Documents must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope marked "2025 Big Creek Park Pool Painting Project" Scope of Work The project entails the complete surface preparation and repainting of the Big Creek Pool to restore the finish and improve the pool's overall aesthetic and safety. The work will include the application of high-quality Amerlock-400 high solids epoxy paint. The contractor is required to follow the following detailed specifications: 1. Surface Preparation 1. Acid Etching: All pool surfaces to be painted must be acid etched to ensure proper adhesion of the new paint. This step is essential to remove any existing contaminants and prepare the surfaces. 2. Pressure Washing: The entire pool must be pressure washed with a 5000-psi water pressure to remove all failing paint, dirt, debris, and contaminants. The surfaces must be completely clean and free of any loose or peeling paint before proceeding with painting. 2. Painting Requirements 1. Amerlock-400 High Solids Epoxy Paint: All painted surfaces will receive two coats of Amerlock-400 High Solids Epoxy White Paint. This paint is selected for its durability and resistance to pool chemicals and environmental wear. 2. Racing Lanes, Targets, and Depth Markers: All racing lanes, targets, and depth markers must be repainted with Amerlock 400 High Solids Epoxy Paint. The existing markings should be reestablished to maintain consistency with previous designs. 3. Stair Nosing: All stair nosing will be repainted with two coats of Amerlock-400 High Solids Epoxy Black paint, as previously painted. Ensure the new coating matches the existing design and maintains high durability. 3 4. Depth Markers: The 1-foot, 2-foot, and 3-foot depth markers should be repainted with the appropriate color: o 1-foot marker - Green o 2-foot marker - Yellow o 3-foot marker - Red The repainting should match the existing color scheme for these markers. 3. Sand Finish Application 1. Stair Surfaces, Top of Gutters, and Entry Areas: The final coat of paint applied to the following areas should have a sand finish texture: o Stairs o Top of gutters o Entry from 0 depth to 2 feet 6 inches The sand finish should be uniform, with an even texture that provides a non-slip surface, enhancing both safety and visual appeal. Bidder and sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretations shall make a written request to Dale Hansen, Superintendent of Parks. Requests for clarification or interpretations may not be acknowledged if received by the DISTRICT five (5) days or less prior to the date for receipt of Bids. The project shall be completed no later than May 2, 2025. Any delays must be communicated promptly to the Project Manager.
