The proposed Work is officially known as the City of Canton Water Treatment Plant Sludge Removal and Disposal and is further described as follows: The proposed Work consists of but is not limited to the following: 1. Remove and dispose of approximately 1,600 dry tons of lime sludge from Water Treatment Plant (W.T.P.) Sludge Bed No.1, 2 and 3 in accordance with the provisions of the IEPA Water Pollution Control Permit; 2. Provide the OWNER with test data and records on sludge characteristics, quantity, application locations, etc., as required by the IEPA Water Pollution Control Permit; 3. Protect the West Branch of Copperas Creek as may be required during the Work; 4. Site Restoration and clean-up. 5. Timely removal of equipment after work is completed for each fiscal year Bids for the City of Canton Water Treatment Plant Sludge Removal and Disposal will be on a unit price (dry ton) basis A Bid Tabulation will be sent to the Bidders at a later date.
