Site work and paving for a civil project in Athens, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
**As of May 08, 2025, this project has been awarded to Grayson Carter and Son Contracting, Inc with the bid amount of $3,974,273.52.** Installation of approximately 12,500 linear feet of 24-inch diameter water transmission main. All pipe will be Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP). The con-tract to be bid will include restrained joint fittings, isolation valves, air release valves, bored roadway crossings, bored stream crossings, and connections to the existing system. A cashier's check or bid bond payable to Limestone County Water and Sewer Authority, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Question Deadline 04/21/2025 at 9:00 AM CT Questions shall be submitted to the Engineer The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will there by be promoted.
