Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier’s check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is a Ohio Prevailing Wage project. Substantial Completion Date August 15, 2025 Final Completion Date September 15, 2025 A. Contractor shall be responsible for any dewatering of the construction work area for the duration of the project. Where possible, Contractor shall direct runoff and discharge of pumped stormwater to a drainage channel that flows to a designated stormwater controls. Silt fencing shall be placed downgradient of disturbed areas. B. Included in the incidental pay item is: Compliance with all applicable Health and Safety regulations; Protection of existing utilities and structures, including repair, extension and relocation, if applicable; Protection of existing groundwater monitoring wells and gas probes; Collection and disposal of any water, including dewatering fluids, unless otherwise noted; Maintenance of haul roads, including dust control by water only; Cooperation with local code enforcement officers, fire marshal, other Contractors and others; Maintenance of project record documents; Environmental protection; Performance of work in compliance with the facility’s construction permit, operating license, surface water discharge permit, sewer discharge permit, spill plans, emergency response plan, air quality permit, soil erosion permit and wetland permit(s). C. The method of payment for this pay item shall be lump sum. Item 3 – 12” HDPE SDR17 Sump Installation, Detail 3 of Bid Drawings Page 4 A. Contractor shall install 10-ft minimum of 12-inch diameter pipe vertically as illustrated on the Bidding Drawings Detail 3/4. This bid item shall include all labor, supervision, supplies, material, and equipment in accordance with project plans. The method of payment is based on the vertical linear footage (VLF) of pipe installed. B. Contractor should assume material excavated for sump installation will be clean and can be reused as backfill material. Item 4 – 6” HDPE SDR17 Gas Conveyance Piping, Detail 1 of Bid Drawings Page 4 A. Contractor shall install 6-inch lateral piping to new proposed landfill gas extraction wells and the converted vent wells as shown on Bidding Drawings Plan View and in Detail 1/4. This bid item shall include, but is not limited to, all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, fittings, welding, layout and grade controls, appurtenances, and incidental work associated with installing the 6-inch diameter SDR17 HDPE gas conveyance pipe. The method of payment is based on the linear footage (LF) of pipe installed. B. An electrically conductive solid copper tracer wire must be attached to the 6" HDPE Gas Conveyance Piping for locating purposes. The wire must be a number 10 gauge single copper conductor that is insulated. The wire must be taped to the pipe at 10 foot intervals. The wire must be extended above ground at each of the new extraction wells and at the new blower location. The wire shall be brought up to two feet above the surface and tie ends twisted together, then attached to the extraction well. The Contractor shall verify at the completion of the project that all tracer wire is able to trace over all sections of the installed conveyance piping. The cost to install this tracer wire shall be included in the contract unit price per linear foot of 6-inch diameter HDPE Gas Conveyance Piping installed. C. Contractor should assume material excavated during the conveyance piping installation will be clean and can be reused as backfillmaterial. If excavated material is deemed unacceptable for use as backfill by the Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) representative, the Owner, Engineer, and Contractor will determine the best source for clean soil material.
