Site work for a civil project in Lafayette, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a new wastewater treatment plant, lagoon system, including furnishing and installing all excavation, appurtenances, electrical, restoration, clean-up and all other work for a complete installation. The work generally. consists of improvements that include the following: Influent 4" Force Main Influent Flow Meter Influent structure with manual bar screens and slide gates Two (2) new treatment lagoons with baffles, approx. 928,000 gals ea. One (1) new storage lagoon, approx. 3,127,000 gals Interconnection piping and structures Floating Aerators with Diffused Air as a Mandatory Alternate Effluent Pump Station Structures (no pumps or controls). Effluent Flow Meter Effluent B" Force Main Air Release Valve Vaults Approximately 400ft of Horizontal Directional Drilling Non-Potable Water Well New garage Electrical Equipment All other work for a complete and operable installation as shown on the plans and in written in the specifications. Contract B- Wastewater Collection System, Buck Creek Gravity Sewer 10,200 LF of B gravity Sewer 1,290 LF of 3" force Main One Jack and bore railroad crossing 31 sanitary sewer manholes Two air release valves Two wastewater pump stations One Duplex Grinder station One ejector station All other work for a complete and operable installation. as shown on the plans and in written in the specifications Contract C- Wastewater Collection System, Force Main between Buck Creek and Colburn 5,000 lineal feet of force main mandatory Directional Drill 18,000 lineal feet of 3 force main- open cur or directional drill 15 Air release Valve Structures One jack and bore railroad crossing All other work for a complete and operable installation as shown on the plans and in written in the specifications Contract D-Wastewater Collection System, Colburn Gravity Sewer 8,000 LF of B" gravity Sewer 5,965 LF of 4" force Main One jack and bore railroad crossing 33 sanitary sewer manholes Two air release valves Two wastewater pump stations Four ejector stations All other work for a complete and operable installation as shown on the plans and in written in the specifications. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty conforming to the Indiana Revised code. The bid guaranty shall be a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the BID; or, a bond for five percent (5%) of the BID as surety for the execution of the contract. The bid band or certified check should be made out to the Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners. The bid bond form is included in the bidding documents. Should any BID be rejected, such certified check or bond shall be forthwith returned to the BIDDER, and should any BID be accepted, such certified check or bond will be returned upon the proper execution and securing of the Agreement. When the Agreement is executed, the certified check or bid bond of all unsuccessful BIDDERS will be returned. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on proposal forms included in the Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. The contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing. work, a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said contractor, and certificates of all insurance required in the specifications. All bonds and liability insurance shall remain in effect for a period of twelve (12) months following completion and acceptance of construction. The award of the contract is subject to all approvals required by local agencies. Upon securing of all approvals, the successful bidder shall receive a "Notice to Proceed" with construction and said contractor shall begin construction activities within sixty (60) days of receipt of such notice, and shall complete the project pursuant to the contract documents. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the Project Site(s) and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the Contract Documents and Specifications. The Tippecanoe County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any Bid or all Bids, or to accept any Bid or Bids, or to make such combination of Bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in the bidding.
