Adjust Casting to Grade All bid submissions shall include Joint Purchasing Board Official Bid Forms, a Certified Check, payable to the City of Lafayette, a Bid Surety Bond with authority of the Attorney-in-Fact, payable to the City of Lafayette, or a Letter of Credit, payable to the City of Lafayette or Cash, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, guaranteeing the successful bidders performance and fulfillment of the contract. The Certified Checks, Letters of Credit, Cash or Bonds of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon award of the contract to the successful bidder. All bidders must furnish the Joint Purchasing Board with one (1) copy of bids. Price escalation and/or de-escalation will not be permitted, and all pricing must remain fixed until March 31, 2026. The contractor for asphalt paving shall be pre-qualified with the Indiana Department of Transportation and offer proof of same enclosed with the bidding documents. All materials, equipment and workmanship shall comply with Indiana Department of Transportation Standard Specifications latest addition. Asphalt Production Facility shall be certified with the Indiana Department of Transportation and bidder shall provide proof of same enclosed with the bidding documents. All bids will be awarded to the lowest and/or best responsive and responsible bidder. The Joint Purchasing Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive, to the extent permitted by the laws of the State of Indiana, any terms and conditions or provisions in the Materials and Supplies Specifications or any informality, irregularity, omission of any bid provided that such waiver shall, at the discretion of the Joint Purchasing Board, be to the advantage of the City of Lafayette and/or Tippecanoe County.
