The Jackson R-2 School District will receive Bids for the above referenced project. Work shall entail the removal of approximately 57,540 sf of existing roofing ballast and all existing roofing membrane over the entire roof area, including the roofing membrane installed up and over the top of the parapet walls of the existing Junior High School. Two alternates will include the removal and replacement of up to an additional 60,372 sf of roofing. The base bid also includes the removal of the existing rigid roofing board insulation, removal the existing pre-finished metal parapet edge flashing, removal of the existing perforated gravel stops and removal of the existing pre-finished panels and overflow scuppers. The new TPO membrane roofing system shall consist of a fully adhered membrane over a fiber reinforced gypsum cover board fully adhered to new rigid roofing board insulation which can be mechanically fastened or fully adhered to the existing metal roof deck. Fiber reinforced gypsum cover board shall be installed on the backside of the parapet walls prior to extending the new TPO membrane roofing up the parapet walls and secured under the new pre-finished metal coping. New thru wall flashing shall be installed by the Roofing Contractor in accordance with SMACNA's "Architectural Sheet Metal Manual". Minor roofing detail improvements will also be included, per the drawings. Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis.
