Renovation of a detention facility in Rock Island, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

The Rock Island County Sheriff's Office has chosen to issue this Request for Proposals to seek a contractor to replace damaged or fogged windows on the Rock Island County Jail located at 1317 3rd Ave., Rock Island, IL 61201. Scope of Work A. In General. The contractor shall replace any damaged or fogged windows on the outside of the jail. The contractor shall furnish and assume full responsibility for everything required for the orderly progress and proper execution and completion of the work, whether temporary or permanent and whether or not otherwise incorporated into the work including, but not limited to, drawings, materials, equipment, labor including subcontractors, transportation, construction equipment and machinery, tools, and other facilities and incidentals. B. Removal. The contractor will remove any damaged or severely fogged window determined by the owner, any old silicone sealant on and around window frames, and remove and make the window frame braces usable. C. Installation. The contractor will install new windows into the existing framing. The product will need to be glass-clad, polycarbonate grade 3-5. Reseal the windows with black silicone, which must be high UV resistant, weather proof, and low shrinkage. D. Disposal. The Contractor will furnish an onsite dumpster for the removal of all project materials and will have it hauled off at the end of the project completion. E. Safety/Signage: The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining public convenience and safety, both inside and outside of the related areas of the premises, during the performance of work. When necessary, the contractor shall provide portable barriers,clearly marked to warn pedestrians and placed to ensure safe passage around the work areas. F. Clean Up. Clean up and removal of all debris from site when completed. G. Project Completion. The Contractor will establish a project completion time and ensure adequate personal to accomplish the project within that time. Last Day to Submit: April 18, 2025, by 4:00 PM
