Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport Reconstruct Apron A9 Project primarily consists of the reconstruction of Apron A9. Bids shall be based on a unit price basis as shown in the Form of Proposal. A bid guaranty is required per Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, either certified check representing ten percent (10%) of the proposal, drawn on a solvent bank, and payable to Western Reserve Port Authority, or a bid bond in the sum of ten percent (10%) of the proposal in lieu thereof must accompany each proposal as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into with the Western Reserve Port Authority, in the manner provided by law. Per ORC 153.571, a performance/payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required after the award of the contract. Bids of Corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such Corporation is licensed to do business in Ohio. The contractor and all subcontractors for this project must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program or in a similar program approved by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation. This project is being funded with Federal dollars. The contractor and their subcontractors shall comply with the appropriate minimum prevailing wages set forth by the federal Davis Bacon Act. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex or national origin.
