The awarded contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to repair and replace damaged guardrails in compliance with the following specifications: B. Specifications 1. Material Requirements _ Guardrail sections shall meet current Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) standards. _ All materials must be new and of first-quality grade. _ Guardrail posts shall be galvanized steel. _ Fasteners, end treatments, and accessories shall conform to applicable TDOT standards. 2. Work Requirements _ Removal of damaged guardrails, posts, and associated hardware. _ Proper disposal of removed materials in accordance with state and federal regulations. _ Installation of new guardrails, posts, and end treatments as specified. _ Traffic control in accordance with TDOT standards during all phases of work. _ Traffic control plans must be submitted to and approved by the city prior to commencement of work. 3. Site Conditions _ Contractors must inspect each worksite before submitting a bid. _ Restoration of disturbed areas, including grading, seeding, and sodding as required. 4. Timeframe for Completion _ Work must commence within 30 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. _ All work must be completed within 60 calendar days unless otherwise approved by the City. C. Each bid must include: _ Completed bid form with total cost per linear foot. _ Proof of licensure and bonding in accordance with Tennessee state law. _ Certificate of Insurance meeting the City's requirements. _ Three references from previous clients for similar projects.
