The City of La Vergne Tennessee, an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer, seeks to retain the services of a professional design consultant firm to provide services related to the preparation of a complete design and a construction contract package for the rehabilitation and renovation of Fire Station 43 in La Vergne, Tennessee. Fire Station 43 is located at 301 Bill Stewart Boulevard, La Vergne, TN 37086. The project will be funded by the City of La Vergne without State or Federal funds. Responsibilities of the professional consultant firm include, but are not limited to: Required Scope of Services o Provide programming with schematics and cost estimate based on onsite meetings with stakeholders. o Prepare a complete Design/Development Package. o Prepare Final (100%) Construction Drawings. o Assist the city with bid review. o Provide construction observation. Estimated Schedule for Performance of Work (Calendar Days) o Last Day for Questions: 4:30 PM, March 7, 2025 o Award Contract and NTP for Consultant Services: TBD o Program with Schematics Complete: NTP + 90 Days o Design/Development Package Compete: NTP + 180 Days o Final Construction Drawings Complete: NTP + 270 Days The SOQ shall indicate the scope of services to be completed by any sub-consultants. This will be a time and materials contract. SOQs must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the label as described above and the respondent's name and address must be clearly indicated on the front of the envelope. Verbal proposals or proposals received after the closing date and time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. DO NOT submit SOQs by fax or electronically as they will not be accepted or considered. SOQ Evaluation SOQs must include the following items. The percent weighting for each item is shown in parentheses (X%). SOQs shall be limited to a total of 30 pages. No appendices which increase the page count over this amount will be reviewed. a. Past Performance on Similar Projects (20%) b. Project Organization Chart complete with names including subconsultants. Key personnel will be as follows: Project Manager, Architectural Lead, Electrical Lead, HVAC lead, and Plumbing Lead. Include resumes showing applicable certifications and registrations. Please note that any changes to the key personnel after submittal of the proposal or after award must be submitted to the City of La Vergne for acceptance and could lead to termination of contract. (60%) c. Technical Approach: Project understanding, quality control system, communications with client, etc. (20%) The consultant evaluation committee reserves the right to conduct interviews if deemed necessary.
