**As of May 15, 2025, this project has been awarded to Veit & Company, Inc. but the bid amount is not yet available.** Construction Services for excavation of the stream tunnel at the Ben Pomeroy Student-Alumni Learning building, located on the St. Paul campus. Refer to the Request for Proposal documents (found in the Attachments tab) for full project details/requirements. The Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota (the "University") is requesting Proposals to provide construction services for excavation of the stream tunnel at the Ben Pomeroy Student-Alumni Learning building, located on the St. Paul campus (the "Project"). 1.2 Project Description (the "Work") The scope of the Project includes: 1. Excavation to roof of existing abandoned steam tunnel by hydrovac equipment or air spade. 2. Selective demolition of the roof of the existing abandoned steam tunnel. 3. Aiding the University-hired abatement contractor for removal of asbestos containing materials. 4. Backfilling the existing abandoned steam tunnel to preconstruction grade. Refer to the attached Drawings and Specifications for full Project details. CNA Consulting Engineers is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project.
