Deadline to Submit Proposal : May 13, 2025, 10:45am The base Contract will contain order for twenty-one (21) bus shelters. The Contract delivery date for the 21 bus shelters must be no later than November 1, 2025. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Introduction, Background, and Overview Several of VTA’s bus stop shelters within our transit system’s network are well beyond their useful life cycle and have become obsolete. Many have been damaged, broken, or fallen into a state of disrepair. VTA’s Better Bus Stops Program is an overarching umbrella program that aims to make bus stop improvements. One of the many facets of this program is to identify areas where new or replacement bus shelters are warranted, dependent on factors such as ridership, developments, or Title VI requirements. The program also works closely with our Engineering Program and Delivery department to design specifications for shelters that we can apply to these various locations. This solicitation will establish a contract with a vendor to supply new and replacement bus stop shelters in a series of purchase orders, as VTA funds become available, over a period of five years. The contract includes an initial base order of twenty-one (21) bus stop shelters for delivery to VTA by November 1, 2025. Beyond the initial order, VTA may choose to exercise the bus shelter or item Options as funds become available. 1.1 Scope of work Contractor to: 1. Manufacture an initial base order of shelters that meet the specifications in Section 2 and in the attached “VTA Shelter Specifications Final” document. a. Shelter: Model #1, Quantity: 18 b. Shelter: Model #4, Quantity: 1 c. Shelter: Model #10, Quantity: 1 d. Shelter: Model #13, Quantity: 1 2. Deliver the initial order of shelters to VTA’s Cerone yard at 3990 Zanker Road, Building G. Receiving Dock, San Jose CA 95134 by November 1, 2025. 3. Manufacture and deliver additional orders of Model #’s 1 through 14 (outlined in the Bus Shelter Size section). The estimated total for the base order is 21 bus shelters with 80 bus shelter options, for an estimated total of 101 bus shelters if all options are exercised. For additional orders: VTA will provide Contractor with a written notice of VTA’s intent to exercise Options, as outlined in Exhibit A. Sample Contract, Section E. Option and Option Pricing.
