Contractor to remove and dispose of existing carpet, vct, sheet vinyl, base and accessories from halls, stairs, elevators and apartments in Frederiksen Court Buildings 72 & 73, prep floors and conduct installation of new underlayment, carpet, solid vinyl tile, sheet vinyl, rubber flooring, rubber tread, vinyl base and accessories in multiple phases. Each building is a 24-unit apartment building, consisting of twelve 4-bedroom units and twelve 2- bedroom units. Site walkthrough notes: The purpose of the pre-proposal meeting/site tour is to answer questions and provide further clarification as may be required. Verbal statements made by ISU representatives at this meeting, regarding changes in this request for proposal, will not be considered binding, unless confirmed by written addenda. Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-proposal meeting. No additional site visits will be scheduled. The Department of Residence and its affiliates reserve the right to stop work at any time if an articulable fire safety concern arises. The Department of Residence Health and Safety Manager or their designee reserves the right to modify and revoke any existing fire alarm impairment plan at any time for any reason. All activities shall be in accordance with Chapter 33 (Fire Safety During Construction and Demolition) of the 2015 International Fire code The Department of Residence reserves the right to assess any penalties incurred due to a contractors negligence of protecting the fire alarm system integrity.
