Justin Garza High School Visual and Performing Arts Project (Bid Packages 2 through 11) As of June 9, 2025, per Addendum 15, the bid date has been extended from June 4, 2025 to June 11, 2025. The project will be bid as multiple prime contracts according to the list below: JGV - 02 DEMOLITION, SITE UTILITIES, CONCRETE & REBAR A, B JGV - 03 STRUCTURAL STEEL, DECKING & MISC. METALS C-51 JGV - 04 ROOFING, METAL ROOFING, METAL PANELS & SHEET METAL C-39, C-43 JGV - 05 METAL FRAMING, PLASTER, GYPSUM BOARD, DOORS & OPENINGS C-9, C-35 JGV - 06 GENERAL SPECIALTIES B JGV - 07 PAINTING C-33 JGV - 08 WALL & CEILING MATERIALS C-2 JGV - 09 FIRE SUPPRESSION C-16 JGV - 10 PLUMBING & HVAC C-36, C-20 JGV - 11 ELECTRICAL & LOW VOLTAGE C-10 Time of completion for this project shall be 720 calendar days. All prequalification packets must be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m., April 30, 2025. Only bidders who have been prequalified on or before April 30, 2025, will be eligible to bid this project. All questions must be made in written form, and submitted to Tyler Thomas via email at tthomas@bushconstruction.net by no later than April 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., Contractor to confirm receipt of email A response will not be provided to any late questions, or requests for explanation. All addenda and clarifications will be distributed at least 72 hours before the bid due date. Bids must be accompanied by a bidder's bond, cashier's check, or certified check for at least ten per cent (10%) of the amount of the base bid and made payable to the Owner, issued by an Admitted Surety (an insurance organization authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of insurance in the State of California during this calendar year), which shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded the work and will be declared forfeited, paid to, or retained by the Owner as liquidated damages if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into the contract provided by the Owner after being requested to do so. This Contract is subject to prequalification pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20111.6. If a bidder is not prequalified for this Project to bid on the Contract, Owner will not accept the bid. Any subcontractors the bidder lists for work requiring C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 licenses must have current pre-qualified status with the Owner for this Project. Bidders may prequalify through Quality Bidders. The Owner's approved contractor prequalification list for this Project will be posted on the Facilities Planning webpage. All prequalification packets must be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m., April 30, 2025. Only bidders who have been prequalified on or before April 30, 2025, will be eligible to bid this project. The Owner will require the successful Bidder to achieve the minimum goal of 3% DVBE (Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises) established in the bidding documents or to provide acceptable evidence of good faith efforts to do so accompanying the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment (Labor and Material) Bond in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price, and a Faithful Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds to be secured from an Admitted Surety (an insurance organization authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of insurance in the State of California during this calendar year), and satisfactory to the Owner. The surety insurers must, unless otherwise agreed to by Owner in writing, at the time of issuance of the bonds, have a rating not lower than "A-" as rated by A.M. Best Company, Inc. or other independent rating companies. Owner reserves the right to approve or reject the surety insurers selected by the successful bidder and to require the successful bidder to obtain bonds from surety insurers satisfactory to the Owner. The bidder will be required to furnish insurance as set forth in the Contract Documents. DSA Application No.: 02-120199 The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity and to reject any or all bids. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60 days after date set for the opening thereof.
