As of April 17, 2025, per the Construction Manager plan room the bid date has been extended from April 18, 2025. Three addendum have been issued. The project involves the renovation of the existing building located at 37 Wareham Street, Middleborough, MA and the construction of two building additions. In sum, MGED seeks to: (a) convert the existing historic building to include a customer service center on the first floor with offices, meetings rooms, and a kitchen on the second floor; (b) construct a new single-story building to house the electric operations facilities, including the substation and grid management facilities, locker rooms, and materials stockroom and a loading dock; and (c) construct a two-story transition building linking the historic building with the new electric operations building with office spaces, conference rooms, and clerestory lights that will provide vertical transportation between the existing and new buildings. Site improvements include, but are not limited to, new driveways and parking lots, security fencing, and landscaping.
