Work on this project includes removing trees, pruning trees, and grinding stumps on public property belonging to the City of Evanston. Some of the work will be partially funded by a grant, recently awarded to the City, from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service’s Urban and Community Forestry Program. In addition to the grant work in parks, the City may add up to 50 trees per year for removal and up to 50 stumps per year for grinding and site restoration. These trees and stumps will be in parkways, ROW, or other public spaces. Bid Bond 5% of Contract The Evanston City Council also reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firm's bid is within 5% of the low bid.
