It is the intent of the City of Evanston (hereafter City) to obtain a supplier of water meters and remote MIUs. These meters shall be designed and manufactured for the sole purpose of metering potable water from the City’s residential and commercial/industrial customers. In addition to the following specifications, all meters shall meet all AWWA specifications. Used or rebuilt meters and equipment will not be accepted. All Meters must be compatible with the Neptune 360 software and Neptune MIU’s reading system. Meters and meter parts shall be manufactured, assembled, and tested within the United States The Evanston City Council also reserves the right to award the contract to an Evanston firm if that firm's bid is within 5% of the low bid.
