The fishing pier located at the Halifax Harbor Marina sustained some damage during Hurricane Milton. The fishing pier is on the east side of the south boundary of the Halifax Harbor Marina located at 125 Basin Street, Daytona Beach, FL. Approximately a 50 Ft long section of the wooden boardwalk was destroyed. As the 8 Ft wide boardwalk section lifted it was torn from the piles and support posts, the railing was compromised and the water service to the fish cleaning station was damaged. After removal of the damaged section, including piles, railings, bents, joist, deck boards, and timber post, the 50 Ft section will need to be reconstructed and tied back into the remaining fishing pier. All work will be completed in conformance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. This project may be under construction concurrently with other restoration or marina projects, contractors will need to coordinate accordingly. 1.02 Scope of Work A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to reconstruct the City of Daytona Beach Halifax Harbor Marina Fishing Pier Restoration project as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein. B. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Survey work, includes project layout and As-Built Drawings 2. Remove and properly dispose of all unused wooden fishing pier, including piles, railings, bents, joist, deck boards, timber post, PVC water service, and hardware. 3. Furnish and Install six (6) 10" Diameter S.Y.P Marine Grade Timber Piles meeting ASTM D25 Standards and two (2) 6" x6" S.Y.P. Marine Grade timber post. 4. Construction of an ADA compliant eight (8.0) feet wide timber boardwalk (fishing pier) and aluminum picket railings as shown on the Plans. 5. Furnish and install new 3/4 " water service to existing fish cleaning station. 6. Installation and maintenance of floating turbidity barriers. 7. Furnish and install Educational Signage and Monofilament Recycling Bin (6" PVC) per USACOE Permit No SAJ 2025-00510. 8. All site work, including applying Loctite 271 to all new through rod nuts and site cleanup. 9. All permits. 10. Indemnification.
