Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Watkinsville, Georgia. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

As of August 27, 2025, this project has been placed on hold and has not yet been readvertised. The City of Watkinsville is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for grading and construction of approximately 1300 linear feet storm drainage pipe (Phase 1) associated with approximately 1270 linear feet of 5 foot wide, ADA-compliant pedestrian, concrete sidewalk (Phase 2) along South Main Street beginning on Jackson Street and ending at New High Shoals Road. Phase 2 work is not a part of this RFP. All work shall be to the Georgia Department of Transportation specifications and include the installation of ADA compliant handicap ramps where required along the route. Traffic control is to be provided by the contractor throughout the entire construction period. Proposals are expected be presented for consideration at the May 21, 2025 Council meeting. Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposals, to evaluate proposals, and to accept any proposal which in its opinion may be for the best interest of the Owner. Owner has the right to add or delete from the contract once it has been awarded. Award, if award is made, will be to the most responsive, responsible proposer. Prior to award of the contract, the successful proposers will be required to submit a construction schedule to the City, demonstrating the proposer's ability to commence and proceed in a timely manner and to enable the City to provide timely public notification of work in the right-of-way and any temporary traffic control or lane closures.
