Proposals must be on forms provided by the Borough. All Bids shall be clearly marked "2025 Bituminous Paving" For further information contact Brooke Klotz at 570-325-3025, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. PA Prevailing Wages Apply to the "2025 Bituminous Paving" Contract. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid made payable to Jim Thorpe Borough. All bids shall be valid for 60 days. The successful bidder for the "2025 Bituminous Paving" project will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price within 20 days of the award of the contract. The Borough Council of Jim Thorpe reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Borough. All work must be completed by August 23, 2025, for the Bituminous Paving and Seal Coat (Road Bid) contracts; liquidated damages will apply at the rate of $975.00 per day for each day beyond these dates that the work remains incomplete. Pre-bid notes: This is not a mandatory meeting however this is the only field view to be conducted by the Municipality and only questions presented at this meeting will be addressed prior to award unless the Municipality feels additional items or explanations need to be presented. After the pre-bid meeting these will be in the form of a written notice to all bidders.
