This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work for the demolition and removal of toll facilities on the Pennsylvania Turnpike-Northeastern Extension (I-476 Toll) at the Lansdale (Exit 31), Quakertown (Exit 44), Lehigh Valley (Exit 56) and Mahoning Valley (Exit 74) interchanges. This work also includes the reconfiguration of electrical systems to maintain operation of the highway lighting systems after completion of demolition activities at each interchange. The project is located on the Pennsylvania Turnpike-Northeastern Extension (I-476 Toll) at Lansdale Interchange (Exit 31) in Montgomery County, Quakertown Interchange (Exit 44) in Bucks County, Lehigh Valley Interchange (Exit 56) in Lehigh County and Mahoning Valley Interchange (Exit 74) in Carbon County. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
