The major items of work include roadway and sidewalk reconstruction on East Main Street and portions of Auburn Avenue, new hardscape and landscaping in the B Street Plaza, a new traffic signal, upgraded curb ramps, and concrete crosswalks at the intersection of Auburn Avenue and Main Street. Additional improvements include a raised mid-block crosswalk, decorative lighting, and underground utilities including storm drainage, sewer main, watermain, and joint utility trench for third party utilities. The proposed bid range for the project is from $2,500,000 to $3,500,000. The entire project, including cleanup, shall be physically completed within 80 working days. This project is funded with City of Auburn monies. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or proposal bond (surety bond) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such Contract and furnish satisfactory Contract Bond within the time stated in the Bid Documents, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Auburn.
