Site work for a power facility in Cadillac, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.
Requesting a Design Build Entity (DBE) to provide services for a study for proposed placement, design and construction of a new solar array at the 4 site locations listed above (plus an additional location at the Repair Center at Gaylord, for a total of 5 locations). Solar panels will be added at each site noting points of interconnect, PV concept, and addressing possible utility location conflicts. Traverse City site to be a Deduct Alternate. Additional Considerations: o Ground penetrating radar may be needed to locate existing utilities o All sites will need field verification o Include topography survey, push-pull testing and soil borings as needed to perform the work o Target design goals for energy are as follows: Cadillac (target 110% 32 kw annually) Traverse City (20 kw annual utility limit) Gaylord (32 kw Repair Center / 16 kw CSC) Escanaba (31 kw) o Connection of new service to the existing service shall be underground. DBE to work with local utility company for electrical interconnection o DBE to provide all items necessary for design and construction, including grading and soil considerations, foundation design, solar array design targeted goals o DBE to provide updated schedule at each meeting o DNR will be responsible for the demolition of any trees, if needed o All solar arrays are assumed to be located on the roof with the exception of Cadillac, and possibly Escanaba. Roof mounted panels will require the existing structure will support the solar panel load. This will require a structural analysis at each building. o Include time for team meetings (4 during design phase - virtual meetings are acceptable) - twice a month progress meetings are required during the construction phase o Meet State and local codes including SESC and EGLE as required. Submit sealed plans to LARA plan review and permits. o Additional requirements as outlined in the Design Build Contract Please do not submit online questions via online.
