A FIRE ALARM REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT SERVICESNotice to Interested Contractors. General Description of the Work. The Qualification will be for an Annual Contract to provide thefollowing services to the County on an as needed basis: To repair, modify, program and replaceexisting Fire Alarm Systems. This is to include working with Electronic Safety & Security (ESS) staffto customize and review the design for each individual site based on the ESS specifications,283100 Fire Detection and Alarm Guidelines. This specification is subject to change at the Countysdiscretion. Upon completion of each project, the contractor will perform acceptance testing withESS staff prior to scheduling the final inspection with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Thecontractor will provide all required close out documentation as defined in ESS specifications,283100 Fire Detection and Alarm Guidelines, to include but not be limited to providing Auto CADand as-built drawings for each system and will be responsible for producing signed and sealedshop drawings defining the specific project requirements of each task assigned.General Terms. The specific magnitude of the Work will be determined by individual Work Ordersissued by Palm Beach County against this Annual Contract. It is anticipated that Work Orders willbe generally less than $100,000 each, but may be larger. This Annual Contract may be awarded forup to five (5) years with an initial not-to-exceed cumulative amount of $6,000,000.Open Qualification. It is the current intention of the Board to establish a list of Qualified Contractorsunder this Annual Contract, but additional Qualified Contractors may be added by the County atany time and contractors may submit a Qualifications Application package at any time during theterm of this Annual Contract. Licenses. At the time of submission of the Qualification Application package, the contractor mustpossess all professional licenses or certifications required by the State of Florida and/or PalmBeach County, as applicable, for performing the following specified services: Fire Alarm Repair andReplacement Services.Bonding Requirements. Qualification packages must be submitted on the forms provided by PalmBeach County. No Bid Security or Public Construction Bond is required with the QualificationPackage. The Invitation for Quote/Bid for each Work Order will describe the bonding requirementsfor each project to be awarded
