The Project includes the following Work: Performing a hydro-vac excavation at the water service connection B-box for each home and inspection of both line connections to identify if either line is lead. The work shall be completed in accordance with the contract specifications and plans. Bidders must secure their information as to the condition of the site and all local conditions affecting the work prior to submitting their proposals. Bidders are notified that the price bid must include everything as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. No extra of any kind will be allowed unless ordered in writing by the Owner. Any bid submittal shall be accompanied by a certified, check, cash or bid bond, or an acceptable form of Proposal Guaranty in an amount equal to 5% of the Proposal amount. Any contract awarded under this Invitation for Bids will require performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The OWNER may make such investigations as he deems necessary to determine the ability of the BIDDER to perform the WORK, and the BIDDER shall furnish to the OWNER all such information and data for this purpose as the OWNER may request. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any BID if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such BIDDER fails to satisfy the OWNER that such BIDDER is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the WORK contemplated therein.
