Notice is hereby given that the South Bay Union School District of San Diego, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the District, is seeking sealed bids from qualified construction contractors for construction of the following public-works project: BID 362 - ELOP Asphalt License Requirement: C-12 - Earthwork and Paving Estimated bid cost: $230,000.00 + $20,000.00 Allowance Question Deadline 04/02/2025 at 3:00 PM PT Submitted via email to Francisco Franco, Director of Facilities, ffranco@sbusd.org For further information, contact Vicky Cardoso, Purchasing Buyer at (619) 628-5383, vcardoso@sbusd.org. Questions are to be submitted by email. DISABLED VETERAN BUSINESS ENTERPRISES - (NOT APPLICABLE) This project will consist of removing and replacing asphalt at West View Campus. The purpose of the following asphalt specifications is to clearly indicate the grounds that will be replaced, and the specifications to be applied. This is a public works project. Contractors should use prevailing wage to determine the labor costs. Contractors and subcontractors must have a DIR registration number. Each bid must be submitted with a Bid Bond executed by the bidder and Surety Company, or certified check, or cashier's check or cash, in an amount equal to 10% of the bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and a separate Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, and each issued by a California-admitted surety. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 90 days after the date set for the opening of bids.
