Description: The purpose of this bid is to obtain pricing for the following milling, resurfacing, and placement of new asphalt on various roads within Okaloosa County. All construction will be in accordance with standards adopted by the American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials as set forth in the AASHTO Manual "Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges." It is the intent of this solicitation to secure a source for Asphalt Paving, Milling Services, and Resurfacing Services, for Okaloosa County to assist in Capital Projects and the Surtax "50 in 5" program. All materials and workmanship shall meet the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition. Placement of asphalt shall conform to FDOT Design Specification Sections 330, 334, and 916. All asphalt provided shall be in accordance with the FDOT Design Section 334, Superpave Asphalt Concrete. The Public Works Department will specify the use of SP9.5 or SP12.5 for each road.
