Site work for a communication facility in Mobile, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility.

Pasadena Independent School District ("PISD," "District," "Owner") is seeking Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified proposers to provide construction services for Portable Building Re-Roofing. The project scope of work is outlined in the attached project manual. Bid Item 1A: Analysis, Evaluation and concurrence with RSA Radio Coverage Testing Information Bid Item 1B: Performance Design of Systems Bid Item 2: All Construction to include Emergency Responder Communications Installation, Integration, Testing and floor coring, ceiling, drywall, painting and other repair and patching required to install the systems. Award will be made only to competent and responsible bidders as mandated by Title 39 of the Code of Alabama. All bidders must be licensed under Title 34 of the Code of Alabama and evidence thereof must appear on the bid envelope or it will not be opened. All Emergency Responder Radio Performance Design will be by Alabama licensed Professional Communications Engineer. The State of Alabama Certified Fire Alarm Act requires that every business who installs fire alarm systems in commercial occupancies must be licensed as a Certified Fire Alarm Contractor. The contractor must have a NICET Level III Technician in a position of responsibility, and the license will be issued in the name of the certificate holder and the contractor. The Certified Fire Alarm Act also requires that technicians working for the Certified Contractor must hold a current NICET Level II, or equivalent, certification. The fire alarm specifications shall require contractors wishing to bid on fire alarm work to show evidence at the pre- proposal conference that he/she meets the certification requirements of the Act and holds a permit issued by the State Fire Marshal. A cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal and must secure the bid for at least 60 days. Conditional bids will be rejected. List of major subcontractors must accompany the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds (if award exceeds $50,000) and evidence of insurance are prerequisites of contract award. Right is reserved by the Awarding Authority to reject all bids and to waive irregularities. Other sets for general contractors, and sets for subcontractors and dealers, may be obtained with the same deposit, which will be refunded as above, less cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution, which is estimated to be the same as the deposit amount. Partial sets will not be available . Work to be done: 1. This Contractor will be responsible for taking inventory, recording, protecting and utilizing any attic stock materials to be used in the performance of this contract as coordinated with and made available by the RSA Building Manager. 2. This Contractor will provide independently all necessary temporary facilities to include offices, site access, safety elements, toilets for office space, temporary power, water and clean up requirements and other items outlined hereinafter and as required to adequately support respective project staff and operations. This Contractor is to anticipate providing for remote office space, if required. Site availability is extremely limited with no area reserved for material and equipment staging. Provisions should be anticipated for offsite storage and temporary laydown. This Contractor may utilize one toilet room located at the loading dock area. Use of this toilet shall be coordinated with the Building Manager. These toilets must be maintained by the contractor and left in like new condition at the conclusion of this project. This Contractor is also required to provide all necessary precautions and protective measures required to ensure the integrity of the existing materials and appurtenances at all levels and elsewhere. 3. Any hoisting required outside the use of freight elevators by this Contractor to successfully complete the full scope of their work is to be included in this Contract. All costs associated with weekend and off hour work times, street closings, barricades, unforeseen conditions, temporary support measures, or whatever special measures needed to successfully complete the work is a requirement of this Contract. There will be one freight elevator for use by the Contractor for personnel and material deliveries. The freight elevator will be cleaned on a daily basis by the Contractor. The freight elevator designated for tenant construction use will not be manned; therefore, it is imperative that the Tenant Contractor schedule use accordingly. One freight elevator is to be used by the Tenant Contractor for personnel or material transportation. If large amounts of material deliveries are expected, the Contractor will be required to schedule off hour use of the freight elevator. Contractors shall coordinate scheduled deliveries with the Owner. Perform all large deliveries after 4:00 PM. No passenger elevators are to be used by the Contractor. This Contractor will install 3/4 " plywood veneer wall & ceiling protective panels at one service elevator as directed by the Architect. This protection will remain in place after project completion. This contractor will be required to clean the service elevator floor daily to insure proper maintenance of this floor. 4. This Contractor is responsible for obtaining and the cost for all permits, etc. required by the City of Mobile or other authority having jurisdiction for this work under this contract. The Contractor shall pay cost of any other permits, fees, inspections, tests, approvals, etc. which are legal requirements as of bid date, or which became so (or are increased) thereafter. This contractor is also required to ensure that all ERCS design build is reviewed and approved by the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction, which is to be submitted and coordinated by the Design Build licensed Communication Engineer. Completion- 485 days
