James City County is releasing this Request for Proposals on behalf of the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA). The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to solicit proposals from experienced, and qualified vendors to furnish all labor, materials, cleaning products, overhead, administration, equipment, trash bags, and dumping fees associated with providing shelter cleaning, maintenance and trash pickup services for all transit stops furnished by WATA. Purpose Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (hereafter referred to as WATA) is soliciting sealed proposals from experienced, qualified vendors to provide shelter cleaning, maintenance and trash pick services for all transit stops furnished by WATA. No amount of work shall be guaranteed. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract for one (1) initial year with four (4) optional 1 year renewals. Questions related to this solicitation should be directed, via email to Silke.Hudgins@jamescitycountyva.gov by not later than 12:00p.m. on April 15, 2025. Addenda WATA reserves the right to revise the RFP documents. Revisions will be made by written addendum to this RFP. Any written addenda issued pertaining to this RFP shall be incorporated into the terms and conditions of any resulting Agreement. WATA shall not be bound to any modifications to or deviations from the requirements set forth in this RFP as the result of oral instructions. Failure to acknowledge receipt of addenda may cause the proposal to be deemed nonresponsive and thus rejected. Reservation Of Rights WATA and JCC reserve the right to cancel, amend, or reissue this RFP or the Project at any time without prior notice. WATA makes no guarantee that any contract will be awarded to a proposer responding to this RFP.
