The project consists of the replacement of approximately 3,300 feet of water main along Tom Taylor Road, Branch's Pond Road and Warrens Pond Road. The existing water mains were installed in the 1970's and are thin wall 4" and 6" PVC. The 6" water mains will be replaced with 8" ductile iron pipe, and the existing 4" water mains will be replaced with 4" ductile iron pipe. The project will include new water meter services, new fire hydrants, as well as the abandonment of the old water mains. The work will take place entirely within VDOT Right of Way. This is a two-step Invitation for Bid process. Bidders must submit separate technical bid package and price bid package to DemandStar.com. Bidders deemed qualified after technical review will move to the price bid opening stage.
