*As of May 21, 2025 this project has been awarded to multiple contractors. Electrical Construction Contract was awarded to Lauer Construction Services for $42,242.00, General Contract to Mid-State for $314,496.00 and to Reading Mechanical and Utility Contracting Inc for Mechanical Construction Contract with the value of $58,145.75 and Plumbing Construction Contract with the value of $ 20,174.67 with overall bid contract amount of $435,058.42. Laurel Hill Community Room Renovation Electronic bids will be accepted to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and services and perform and complete all work required for the Laurel Hill Community Room Renovation project at the Laurel Hill Community, Dauphin County, PA, owned by the Housing Authority of the County of Dauphin Questions Due Date: Apr 21st 2025, 12:00 PM EDT This project will be bid to multiple prime contract, including the following: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT PLUMBING CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT A certified check or bank draft payable to the Housing Authority of the County of Dauphin or a satisfactory bid bond on the prescribed form executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to Fifteen Percent (15 %) of the base bid shall be submitted with each bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract must be paid on this project and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex, handicap or national origin. Bidders are also advised that HUD's Section 3 requirements apply to this contract. Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) are encouraged to bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder in the amount of 100% of the Contract on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents. A Waiver of Lien with each Application for Payment is required. The Housing Authority of the County of Dauphin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the County of Dauphin. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: The project includes but is not limited to the demolition of the existing exterior concrete stairs, concrete sidewalk, metal railings, wood timber retaining wall, exterior brick wall construction at specified locations; demolition of roof shingles, underlayment, soffits, gutters and downspouts; demolition of interior stud walls and batt insulation at Offices/ Community Room and Kitchenette, above ceiling insulation; demolition of interior floor, wall, ceiling finishes as noted; demolition of windows/ frames, doors/ frames; demolition of casework, countertops, backsplashes; demolition of interior lighting, electric baseboard heating, a/c window unit; demolition of plumbing fixtures, hot water heater; demolition of condensing unit, registers; installation of new exterior concrete walking surfaces, concrete stairs, concrete footings, retaining walls, metal railings, metal guardrails; installation of new exterior fiber cement wall construction; installation of interior stud walls, wall cavity batt insulation, above ceiling insulation; installation of roof shingles, underlayment, soffits, gutters, downspouts; installation of interior floor, wall, ceiling finishes; installation of windows/ frames, doors/ frames; installation of casework, countertops, backsplashes; installation of interior lighting, receptacles, data connections; installation of plumbing fixtures, hot water heater, cold, hot, sanitary connections; installation of condensing unit, ductwork, registers, diffusers Bid Result : General Construction - Mid-State - $314,496.00 Mechanical Construction - Reading Mechanical & utility - $ 58,146 Plumbing Construction - Reading Mechanical & utility - $ 20,175 Electrical Construction - Lauer Construction - $ 42,242
