Replace Fire Panels at 2 facilities: Update existing systems at 2 facilities: provide testing maintenance and all related functions for all 4 facilities. The Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority, hereafter referred to as SWVRJA, is requesting proposals from a qualified Contractor to provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and replace the current fire alarm panel at the Abingdon (15205 Joe Derting Drive) and Tazewell (115 Court Street) Regional Jail facilities, as well as update existing panels to match the scope of work defined on page 4 section IV at the Duffield (1037 Boone Trail Road) and Haysi (1550 Kiwanis Park Road) Regional Jail facilities. The Contractor must also provide services for Testing, Inspections, Preventative Maintenance and Repair of the Fire Sprinkler and Suppression Systems at all four (4) Regional Jail Facilities. Acceptance of a Contractor's proposal will not require the SWVRJA's use of all proposed items. All proposals must provide a separate cost structure for each individual facility. SWVRJA does request the specific brand NOTIFIER or the exact equivalent for the two (2) replacement panels. The purpose of this conference is to allow potential Contractors an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. A tour of pertinent parts of the jail facility will be conducted during the pre-proposal conference. All attendees are expected to bring any equipment or other materials that they will expect to use during the tour. These pre-proposal conferences will be the only opportunity for Contractors to conduct site visits for this project. No other site visits will be allowed.
