Reference Number 0000290662 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/04/30 01:00:00 PM CDT Attention: Darren Nicklin, Contract Administrator Email: Darren.Nicklin@gov.mb.ca Pricing Lump sum The Goods to be provided and Services to be performed shall consist of: Apply for registration of new holding tank with Manitoba Conservation OWMS Holding Tank Conservation and Climate | Province of Manitoba The contractor is responsible for pumping out the existing septic tank immediately prior to tank removal. Sewage is to be hauled by a licensed wastewater hauler and disposed of at a licensed wastewater treatment plant or licensed wastewater treatment lagoon. The septic tank replacement will include removal of existing septic tank, pump, and associated equipment, as well as removal of discharge pipes from hall to tank and force main pipes from tank to curb stop connection with community low pressure system Supply deliver and install a new septic system (1500-gallon tank, sewage pump, and piping) for community hall. Must be installed by a certified installer - Septic tanks are to be: - Fiberglass or concrete with tie down straps and weights as required 1500 gallons Two (2) chambers (sedimentation and pump chamber) Pump out style tank Check Valve Conform to CSA standard B66-00 Access manhole extending to 0.3 m above ground surface (minimum 600mm diameter) Rated for burial up to a minimum of 2.13 meters above top of tank part of replacing the septic tank, the existing pump must also be replaced. Access to septic tank must be watertight and child resistant As Must be FLH series for low pressure systems Effluent pump " solids handling 1% or 2" discharge 115V 6/10 HP Electrical cord shall be SJOW type and a minimum of 8 meters long Must be suitable for wastewater applications Must be placed in septic tank with a stainless steel lift out chain Pipe and Fittings All new drain piping from the hall to the septic tank is to be DWV ABS sewage pipes. All LPS fittings shall be made of the same material and to the same specifications as the sewer main pipe. On the ABS piping are to be ABS fittings and pipe connections must be glued connections All pipes for submersible pumps inside the septic tank shall be EPDM discharge hose non-kinking type, minimum bending radius of 82 mm and minimum 340 kPa (50 psi) working pressure and 1,500 kPa (220 psi) burst pressure suitable for use in sewage effluent. Construction of hose to be EDPM compound for tube and cover. From the tank to LPS must be minimum series 75 poly. All clamps must be stainless steel with stainless steel nuts and bolts. Service saddles shall be compression type with a rubber gasket that fully contacts the pipe surface. Saddles shall be wide band stainless steel Check valves shall be cast construction "Y" style rated for sewage effluent, exposed bolts to be stainless steel or brass Contractor must install a high-level alarm system to activate warning lights on the outside of community hall as specified on attached spec sheet Appendix "D" The pump discharge arrangement to the town low pressure system shall be completed as per sizes indicated on Appendix "C" c/w ball check valve, treaded union, ball valve and drainage hole. Existing curb stops to be utilized if functional, if nonfunctional must be replaced Electrical wires for the pump should be run through 1 1/2" exterior grade PVC conduit Additional frost protection (if required) to be provided for the force main with 50mm rigid insulation Any junction boxes and receptacles shall be weatherproof, secured properly near the sewer box Installation MUST comply with ALL Manitoba regulations Environment and Climate Change Province of Manitoba Ensure area around removed tank is backfilled. All installations will be tested and operational Removal and disposal of existing septic tank and install a new septic system (tank, pump, and pipes) from the community hall to the low-pressure system (LPS) line in the community of Mallard.
