Design and Construction of Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program infrastructure at CFB Winnipeg (17 Wing). The infrastructure will support training of personnel, as well as storage and maintenance of aircraft. Scope of work includes new hangar block which is a two-storey section of non-combustible construction to house the storage and maintenance of multiple aircraft, with associated program spaces, to include supply storage and warehouse, workshops, vehicle storage, offices, meeting rooms, and staff support functions. The provision of second level mechanical mezzanines, size, and locations to be determined in detailed design phase. Based on the size of the mechanical mezzanines and second floor office space, the building is presumed to be classified as a two-storey building. A new training block which is a two-storey section of non-combustible construction to house the training solution (i.e., training classrooms, simulator rooms, briefing rooms, offices, meeting rooms and staff support functions). The provision of rooftop mechanical platforms, size, and locations to be determined in the detailed design phase. The building may be classified as a three-storey, based on the size of the mechanical platforms. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Scope of work is not final and is subject to change.
